I appreciate how difficult it can be to seek help during difficult times, I also understand that taking yourself outside of your comfort zone, is often part of the process of growing and making positive changes in your life.

I am a fully qualified psychotherapist, and member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), offering a safe, non-judgemental space, for people to explore their emotions and issues that are troubling them. I am a person centred therapist, this means the therapy I offer is non directive, I am not here to tell you what to do, or to give you advice. Ultimately, I believe you are the expert on you, nobody knows you better than you know yourself.

For me, the most important aspect of counselling is not about the therapist’s qualifications or experience, it is their ability to offer respect and empathy. To me, the therapeutic relationship is without doubt the most important part of effective therapy.

My clients have described their experience of counselling sessions, as a space where they feel fully accepted and respected, which has allowed them to make positive changes in their lives. I have been described by clients as non-judgmental, understanding and warm.

As a therapist I have worked with clients who are facing many difficult situations and experiences. This includes low self esteem, sexual abuse and relationship problems. My client work has also included work related stress, anxiety and depression.

"People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset,I don't find myself saying, "soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner". I don't try to control a sunset.I watch with awe as it unfolds".
